Hi Brooke! You have done a wonderful job on your chapter summaries. I know you really enjoyed this novel. You are an avid reader! Way to go! Some of the content is extremely challenging and violent. In the beginning of the book it didn’t sound anything like the title. I love the character Kony. He is mysterious and awfully intelligent but what I like the most is that he is smart enough to captor the children and demand them to stay with him in the child army. You see Kony is the leader of the Child army in uganda, Africa. Every child in the area is scared of him even the Adults. So right now in the novel Jacob's school is surrounded by gaurrds. Also jacob had just arived at back at his home for a week end then he is going back to the high school he goes to. Jacob's family is super rich so he has like a nannie sort of but not really and her name is Ethel and she takes Jacob to Church. In Africa it is not a good thing if you go to the medicine man and church the same day. Jacob's family is super cathlis they belive that the only reason kids get an education is because god let's them. Any who anuf of what is going on in the book I think the book could use a little bit of a push to get it started. You know like a kick to make the reader want read on.
E-Journal Entry2 Chapters 5-10 pages 48-92
So the book now is so hard to put down you just want to keep reading on and on. After they got captured they went to a village were they were going to live. There there where women who are slaves and Kony's wives. Kony thought besause he is the leader of the children army he should have more than one wife. One of his wives ears is cut off because she was talking to a solider and Kony got upset and cut off her ears and the solider was beaten to death.
While Kony was saying this story of the womens ears a boy (whose name I can not recall) had fainted and was unconscience. With Kony that is not suppossed to happen. So Tony was suppossed to beat the boy with logs along with other soliders. But Tony refused and was tied against a tree and Kony asked Tony if he wanted a long sleeve shirt or a short sleeve shirt. If he wanted a short sleeve shirt Kony would cut off his arms but if he wanted a long sleeve shirt he would cut off his hands. ooooooooohhhhhh!
E-journal Entry# 3 Chapters 10-15
Ok so now that they go everywhere so the government can't find them. They travel evreywhere and are prepareing to fight. Then ATACK!!!!!!! They where prepared to head off. They walked for days to find a location to stay and get redy. Tat night jacob was hoping to find courgment in himself to atack.
That morning they got in postion they dug trenches to hid in and sharpened there knives. When the wagon went by they pounced. The wagon was full of children and there mothers h eading off to school. The soliders had to pry the mothers off of there Children and now they have added kids to the army.
E-Journal Entry#4 Chapters 15-20 After the atack the soliders that killed people got to eat. Poor Norman was so hungry he tried to pretend that he had killed a person and was starting to eat when he got caught and then tooken away.
That night Jacob whent looking for him and found Oteka and Oteka led him to Norman. But they couldn't get to him Because he was in a canvos like tent with 2 soliders suronding it. Hanah the girl with no ears was serving them and spotted Jacob and Oteka and came up with a plan to capture Norman. Then when they captured Norman they ran off into the night.

My book takes place in Gulu, Ugandan 2009 but they do not just stay in one place. Because they are taken by the Child army and move to dirferint viliges so the govern ment cant't find them. Pg.xiii

My book has External conflict between Jacob and Kony. Kony has Kidnaped Jacob and his friends and they are now in the child army and under Kony's control. Pg.61-62

The climax in book started when the entire dorm awoke to gunshots then everyone was abducted by Kony’s Child army. Pg.61-62

They Captured Norman and escaped!
